What is Computer Network?

Network is a group of two or more devices that are connected to each other. The devices that are connected to each other, can share data such as files and resources like printers. 

Computer Network: The group of interconnected computers and computer hardware's is called as computer network. The main purpose of computer network is sharing data.

Any device that can communicate each other, can be networked. 

Computer networks can be classified according to geographical span:

LAN (Local Area Network): The computer network that are geographical very closed is called LAN. The LAN may be in buildings, colleges, schools, offices etc.

WAN (Wide Area Network): It is very wide network. WAN is a group of two or more LAN's. 

MAN (Metropolitan Area Network): MAN is generally expands in a city or town. MAN works in between WAN and LAN.
